Deputy Director

Scott is a 26 year Navy Veteran and entrepreneur with a vast background in Unmanned Systems, training, organizational development, and business management. 

Scott serves as the Deputy Director for Strategic Partnerships with the ASSURE and ASSUREd SAFE programs, contributing to the advancement of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) safety and integration. With over a decade of experience in UAS operations, training, and research and development, Scott has been deeply involved in cutting-edge robotics and aviation technologies since 2011.

Scott’s career began with 26 years of distinguished service in the United States Navy, where he developed leadership skills and technical expertise. After retiring from active duty, he founded and successfully ran a consulting firm for five years, further honing his ability to drive strategic initiatives and foster innovation.

In his current role, Scott leverages his extensive background to build strategic partnerships that enhance UAS safety and operational capabilities. His work supports ASSURE’s mission to inform policy through high-quality research and promote the safe integration of autonomous systems into national and international infrastructures.
