Program Coordinator

Ainsley Weems joined ASSURE (The Alliance for System Safety of UAS through Research Excellence), the FAA’s Center of Excellence for UAS Research, as a student worker in March 2026. Following her graduation from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Business Administration, she transitioned into the role of Program Coordinator.

As Program Coordinator, Ainsley supports communication and coordination across ASSURE’s 32 member universities, helping ensure researchers, university leadership, federal sponsors, and industry partners remain informed and connected. She assists with consortium communications, meeting and event coordination, member engagement, and the day-to-day execution of initiatives that strengthen collaboration across the Center of Excellence.

During her time at Mississippi State, Ainsley served as a representative in the Student Association Senate for the College of Arts & Sciences. She was also an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), ultimately serving on the chapter’s executive council as Director of Communication, where she developed experience in organizational communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
